Inspired by my son’s resilience to his complex disabilities, my forthcoming book charts the journey of Theo Sullivan as he wakes following a severe seizure in a strange land.
Strange Conflicts is the first in a trilogy following Theo across worlds and realms as he strives to fulfill his destiny. A story of love, challenges, danger, belief and faith. A touch of magic and reuniting with forgotten friends.

My son, Marc, has lived with multiple and complex disabilities throughout his life. A smile is difficult for him, but his resolve and resilience are great. Drug-resistant epilepsy, severe autism, severe learning disabilities and a right-sided hemiplegia dictate what he can and cannot do.
Using his daily battles with health and the high risk of SUDEP that he lives with, inspired me to write this book. My protagonist is not my son, but his life’s challenges are brought into it.

What a great photo of Marc!!
Thank you so much Irene, it was a few days after the Christmas one and he was feeling so much better. And, I think it shows too 🙂
Definitely shows! He looked great. How is he doing now?
Thank you Irene, sadly this morning he is recovering from a bad seizure again. He got up very quiet which is an indicator for us. By 9:30am he was thrashing around in the throws of a tonic clonic seizure. He came round and is sitting with me very quiet now. His smile will return in time 🙂
I am glad he is quiet now, smile at him for me!
I will Irene, thank you 🙂
I love Marc’s happy smile – I hope he has many more!
We live for them, Nora. Thank you so much 🙂
